Two birds with one stone

What could be more lucrative than leasing an otherwise unusable landfill site to a solar park operator? The answer was found by the operator of the landfill site in Lüneburg. He approached F&S solar with the following request: Construct the module arrays so that all modules are connected and that the water can drain from the surfaces created. This system ensures that most of the water no longer drains into the landfill body, thus eliminating the need for costly purification. No sooner said than done. And today, Lüneburg boasts one of the world's most innovative solar systems – delivering a double benefit.
