Schaffrath Solar Housing Estate
THS - Germany's biggest photovoltaic housing estate
In autumn 2008, THS Wohnen GmbH commissioned F&S solar to build Germany’s biggest photovoltaic housing estate.
A system with a total output of 825 kWp was installed in Gelsenkirchen Schaffrath. On top of 63 buildings, with a total roof surface area of 7,670 square metres, over 5,300 modules were installed.
THS is certified according to the EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme EMAS and is a founding member of "Förderverein Solarstadt Gelsenkirchen e.V." With the Schaffrath solar housing estate, THS has yet again demonstrated in impressive style its commitment to environmental and sustainability issues.
The solar housing estate is now delivering savings of up to 517 tonnes of CO2 annually.
