Saerbeck Bioenergy Park

The Saerbeck bioenergy park is the site of Europe's largest solar plant constructed on bunkers. The former German army munitions depot is home to 24,000 solar modules today.

In the extension to the existing bunker roofs, vast modular tables were installed at a height of 8 m. Due to their size, the tables required a special foundation. To do this, 7 m long steel bars were rammed into the ground and were then anchored using a special concrete.

With this ambitious solar project, F&S solar brought its many years of experience to bear.
